Hi - wondering if anyone has managed to install the drivers for the Bluetooth module when running server 2008 R2 X64 version.
I have managed to get all drivers installed using the Windows 7 X64 drivers offered on the HP site, but for the Bluetooth I use the Vista X64 drivers via sp39805.exe.
It's not a biggie because I don't use BT on the notebook anyway but I always like to have no exclamation marks in device manager,
Regards,
I assume you've already checked the OEM supplier of that module...
GL...
Finally got it to work - following the instructions @ http://www.harbar.net/archive/2008/06/13/Enabling-Bluetooth-on-MacBook-Pro-and-Windows-Server-2008-x64.aspx
Install the HP Bluetooth X64 drivers for Windows Vista X64 first (ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp39501-40000/sp39805.exe) followed by updating the drivers pointing the the ones referenced using the link above works a treat...
Awesome thanks!
I had trouble getting Bluetooth to recognise my iCom bluetooth transceiver for my hearing aids, and installing the above driver (ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp39501-40000/sp39805.exe) worked. However, I couldn't get the driver to download correctly until I changed the FTP:// to HTTP:// but left the actual address the same (i.e. http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp39501-40000/sp39805.exe), and then it would download: found that tip on another site and wanted to share, in case it might help anyone else.
Cheers,
Richard.
