Time4Fun, Your tweaks are brilliant!!! I check this great site all the time as I try to be "productive" but also keep my system clean and updated. I'm concerned about the Service Pack 2 update! I really appreciate how easy to follow and exceptionally well laid out your instructions are. Especially for someone who is not a techie, like me. I just wanted to Thank You! I plan on applying your changes after I get some other kinks worked out. Do you know of a way to use a regular external hard drive vs. a "media extender" for recording shows? Do you know how to change the location where my shows are downloaded? Like, to an external drive? I don't know if this is a limitation with media smart, something new to me, but wow, I am enjoying it on this beautiful HDX 18t ! Thanks again, and to Gaines too!
Unfortunately I have uninstalled all the MediaSmart programs. I don't care for them. So I can't really help you there. But if you have any question about the guide when you decide to do it, please post back and I'll surely help you regarding that. But thanks for the good feedback.

on my HP HDX 18 it was necessary to save the additional or changed xml-Files in Unicode (e.g. with notepad.exe), as they are written in Unicode.
Programs like textpad cannot do this proper!
