I have a question regarding this Forum, and how the settings should work.

I have the the "Notify on Reply" setting enabled, but it is not working.

If enabled, Shouldn't it send me an email when there is a reply to a post of mine?

The little "?" Help Icon shows: If checked, users will receive notification of replies in threads they have posed in. They always have the option of disabling this at time of post.

RageMan and Gaines both are working and going to school and running the site.. which means they are a little bit busy.. but they have made Great! progress with all the buttons, bells and whistles.. I am sure when they read this they will get on it.. The site is a work in prgress.. what we lack in all the links working we make up for in the feeling of Community.. it is less show and more pro here than some other places..

Thanks for your Reply.

No worries, and my request was only a convenience that I was looking for. That feature helps me to keep track of certain forum posts when I'm in a rush for the day.

Anyway, great place here, and look forward to becoming more involved.

What forums is it not working on? I know it works on some, didn't know it didn't work on others. Probably a setting I can change.

Rageman, Thanks for checking this out.

It hasn't been working on any of my posts, except your reply.

It worked on your Reply here, but it didn't work on JW from FL's post, and hasn't been working on any other reply's in any thread except your reply.

Another example: it wasn't working in this thread:

The reason it works on this thread now and not when just you and JW were posting in this thread is because I went up to your first post and edited it and choose Notification to turn it on. Then I posted my reply and that's why you and JW got an email saying there was a new post.

If I didn't set notification on your first post before my post you guys wouldn not have been notified.

I just checked that thread you linked and the orignal poster did not set notification on in his first post, so thats why you didnt get any notices.

So, it was a problem with the dude sitting behind the keyboard, or Operator Error afterall.

Sorry about that!

I thought that in my settings, and selecting notify, then that would Universally notify me. (that has been my experience in the past, oh well, I'll need to pay more attention.)
