Here is a quick reference guide to help users navigate around the site!
First we will start with the Quick Link Buttons at the top of the forum pages shown here....
The first button you'll see is the Inbox Button highlghted here....
This button will bring you to your inbox where your PM's (Private Messages) are stored. If you see this button blinking, that means you have a new unread PM.
Next we have the Members List highlighted here.....
This button will show you a list of all the Members of Hphdx.net. If you click on a Member in the list you will be able to send that Member a PM as well as fine all posts made by that member.
Next we have the My Settings button highlited here.....
Here you havee all your personal settings options such as, Signature and Avatar settings as well as Thread Subscriptions.
Next we have the My Posts button highlighted here......
Here of course, you'll be able to view all the posts you've made on Hphdx.net.
Next we have the Search Button highlighted here...
This will bring you to the Search Tool so that you may look for threads or topics quickly.
Next we have the Forum Home button highlighted here.....
This simpliy brings you to the Home Section of all the Forums.
Lastly we have my personal favorite, the Aggregated Forum Button highlighted here.....
The button shows you all the new Threads and Posts since your last visit. If there is a new Thread or a Thread that contains new posts that you have not yet viewed it will be Bolded. The list starts from Newest to Oldest - Top to Bottom. This is a great feature and one I use every time I log in.
Now let's look at posting a New Thread.
Let's say you want to post about your new HDX you just ordered!
First click on the New Owners Section highlighted here....
Next, click on the New Thread Button highlighted here......
Now you'll want to type a Subject Line here....
Now I'll go over some basic functions and options that you have while posting.
Fonts:.
Here you can choose from Bold, Italics, Underline, and StrikeThrough.
Here are the rest of the Font Options.....
Links and Images:
To insert a Link, highlight the text you want to be the link and then click this button....
Now Paste or Type the Website's URL into the URL box. Now you have created a Link!
To insert an Image, Clik on this button.....
Now you will have input the URL of the Image here.
If you have the Image on your computer and not on the Internet, you'll first have to Upload to an Online Image Sharing Site. I use ImageShack.us. You'll upload the Image there, then copy the Direct Link (pictured bellow) and use that as the Image URL.
